A police officer serving in Lagos, yesterday, “narrowly escaped death” after being hit on his forehead by a bird suspected to be evil. The bird, however, fell and died almost instantly.
A source revealed that the police officer ( witheld) is attached to one of the investigating sections of Force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID, Alagbon, Ikoyi.
It said that the officer was hit by the bird while returning to his office from another office within the premises of the police command.
A police officer who pleaded anoymity said the bird of the crow species flew from one of the roofs within the complex to hit the officer’s forehead.
“But for the fact that the officer is a born-again christian, maybe he would have died. He’s one of the few honest, upright, an easygoing Cop we have here” said the anonymous police officer.
Meanwhile, the remains of the bird was reportedly set on fire by colleagues of the police officer.
