The Police in Lagos State have reported the arrest of four individuals suspected of involvement in a robbery incident targeting a woman inside a vehicle in Ilasan, Lagos.According to a statement issued by the Lagos State Spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects were arrested after allegedly robbing the woman of N1.4 million.Following the robbery, the victim lodged a formal complaint with the police, prompting an investigation into the matter. The subsequent inquiry revealed that the suspects were responsible for the theft of N1.4 million from the victim. The arrests were made in Ijora-Badia, Lagos, as a result of diligent police work and surveillance.
In a statement released on X, Hundeyin, the Police spokesperson, disclosed that photographs of the suspects were shared online without obscuring their faces. He justified this decision by stating that the suspects had already provided confessional statements.The decision aimed to facilitate the identification of the suspects by other potential victims of their criminal activities.Hundeyin emphasized the seriousness of the offense, referring to it as a “one-chance robbery.”The suspects were identified as Habeeb Azeez, Michael Adeyeye, Biodun Iyiola, and Adeleye Dotun. Their arrest was the result of discreet investigation by detectives from the Ilasan Division, indicating the effectiveness of law enforcement efforts in combating crime in the region.
He said: “One-chance robbery: Detectives from Ilasan Division have arrested Habeeb Azeez ‘m’ aged 29, Michael Adeyeye ‘m’ aged 26, Biodun Iyiola ‘m’ Aged 46 and Adeleye Dotun ‘m’ aged 27 in Ijora-Badia following discreet investigation into a complaint by a victim that the suspects withdrew N1.4 million from her account during a one-chance robbery at Ilasan.”PS: Why are their faces not covered?
