A Lagos based lawyer, Chief Gabriel Giwa Amu, has petitioned the Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government And Community Affairs over an alleged impersonator of Baale title in Agege area of the state.
The petition written on behalf of his client, Dr Serry Adeoye Adebayo, Giwa Amu disclosed that the alleged impersonator, Adeola Ismail Abatan , an ungazetted Baale, on August 18, 2025, led no fewer than 20 thugs to forcibly entered his client land in Agege to wilfuly destroyed survey pillars, blocks, desecration of the burial site of his client late wife.He said that the land which was purchased by his client from Madam Abibatu Adebi Sunmola of Ajegunle Oniwaya, Ifako, Agege, was with the consent of the Yaya Abatan Chieftancy Family of Agege.
The lawyer disclosed that when the remains of his client late wife was buried on a portion or part of the land, there wasn’t any adverse claim or objection by anyone.
Craving the indulgence of the honourable commissioner to as a matter of great urgency cause a detail investigation to be carried by his office , Giwa Amu called on security agents in the state to investigate the activities of Adeola Ismail Abatan and his minions so to prevent breach of peace and breakdown of law and order as enquiries made by his client have revealed that the suspect has started to build illegal structure thereon.
