The personal assistant to the Ogun state commissioner of police, ASP Solomon Akinlotan, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of his monarch, the Onipokia of Ipokia kingdom, Oba Yisa Adelakun Adeniyi Olaniyan, emphasizing that the late traditional ruler leaves behind irreplaceable legacy in the community.
Extolling the virtues of the late monarch, Akinlotan described him as a deeply compassionate and devoted leader who championed unity across all generations with primary focus on safety, harmony, and well-being of his entire community. He said he believe the late leader’s legacy is irreplaceable.
“He was humble, listened to everyone. He was easy-going, loved everyone. He was equally enlightened as he spent over 20 years in the United States of America. In his reign, he was at his best partnering with law enforcement agents on security issues. He actually brought peace to the ancient community. One of his achievements is the relocation of the Ogun state polytechnic to Ipokia” said Akinlotan.
The police chief stated he has remained in a state of profound disbelief since learning of the traditional ruler’s death on Saturday, June 27, 2026. He revealed that beyond being his monarch, the late ruler was a genuine friend who confided in Chief Aro and him on important matters of the kingdom.
While seeking divine mercy for the late leader’s soul, he urged the bereaved family and the broader community to find solace in God’s will regarding the passing.
