AIG Zone 5, Arungwa Nwazue, Decorates Newly Promoted Officers…. urges beneficiaries to be equal to higher task and responsibilities

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 comprising Delta and Edo State Police Commands, AIG. Arungwa Nwazue, today, at the IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu Conference hall, decorated newly promoted senior officers with their new ranks amidst cheers from their families, friends and colleagues.

The promotion included the elevation of two Assistant Commissioners of Police to the substantive rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police, one Chief Superintendent of Police to the substantive rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, four Superintendents Of Police to the substantive rank of Chief Superintendents of Police. Also among the officers decorated by the AIG is the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Tijani Momoh, promoted from the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police to the substantive rank of Superintendent of Police.

The decoration is a follow-up to the recent promotion approved by the Police Service Commission on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.The newly decorated officers from the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police to Deputy Commissioners of Police include DCP. Habila Daniel, former Area Commander, Oba Market Area Command, and DCP. Nandiyak Tissing, former Area Commander Ekpoma Area Command.According to SP Tijani Momoh, zone spokesman, AIG Nwazue, while congratulating the newly promoted officers, reminded them that since promotion comes with greater tasks and responsibilities, they should be diligent and equal to the tasks ahead. Additionally, the AIG charged the promotees to mentor the junior officers coming after them in the service of our Fatherland.

Responding on behalf of others, DCP Habila Daniel appreciated God Almighty for the promotion, he said the officers will tighten their belt for higher responsibilities and will continue to work assiduously in the fight against crime and criminality in Nigeria.
