Pastor Abel Damina, founder of Abel Damina Ministries International, has accused some pastors of staging miracles, labeling them as ‘arranged miracles.’
In a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, Pastor Damina admitted to once being among those who performed fake miracles and healings for personal gain.
His comments come in response to criticism he received after questioning the authenticity of miracles reported during a prayer conference in the UK organized by Pastor Jerry Eze.
Despite the backlash, Pastor Damina emphasized that his critique is not driven by jealousy of Pastor Eze, who is known for the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration.
He expressed skepticism about the authenticity of recent miracle claims, saying, “Can’t you see that most of these crutches are brand new, the same colour? In what world will people come for a crusade and all of them are carrying the same brand of crutches?”
He also criticized the practice of soliciting tithes, stating, “If you read the book of Acts, nobody paid tithes to anybody. Jesus didn’t pay tithes; Jesus didn’t receive tithes.”
Here is what he said,
“When I started ministry, Ibiyieome had not become born again; he was still in Cele. ‘What God cannot do does not exist’ is not the truth. People think I’m jealous of Jerry Eze. I believe in miracles and healing but not this ‘arrangee’ that we are seeing today. Can’t you see that most of these crutches are brand new, the same colour? In what world will people come for a crusade and all of them are carrying the same brand of crutches?
Why are you asking for tithe? If you read the book of Acts, nobody paid tithes to anybody. Jesus didn’t pay tithes; Jesus didn’t receive tithes. All the disciples of Jesus had professions, so all these ideas that God has called you so you must resign from your job, I don’t know where they are bringing it from because it is not in the Bible.
“I was a master in that gospel. Some of them, its my template they are using. It was a gospel that started by saying, men of God should not be poor because God is not poor. And it started making sense and we started seeing some men of God raising money and living better. So, we also wanted to live better.”
