The appointment of a seasoned Commissioner of Police, Olubode Ojajuni for Ogun State by the Inspector-general of Police, will not only brings assurance of enhanced security to the state, residents and visitors to the state should expect proactive and expert combat policing, says a Security Consultant Femi Adeleke.
Highlighting Ojajuni’s familiarity with the state, his consistently professional conduct, investigative skills, expertise in public relations and operational capabilities while in four Police Mobile Squadrons, Adeleke beleives the new Commissioner of Police will secure lives and property effectively to the delights of residents and visitors.
According to the Expert, Ojajuni whom he described as a top-tier cop has in the past demonstrated his unbeatable and unbreakable actions not only when he was in the state as either Mopol16 Commander or as DCP in charge of the SCID, but in all other places he has served in the Force before the current posting. Other departments, units he said Ojajuni has demonstrated his unwavering commitments to proactive policing include; Lagos State Police Public Relations Department, Alausa Divisional headquarters, Adamawa State Command, SCID Lagos, BodeThomas Police Station in Lagos, CSP A, Area B also in Lagos, Mopol 20,31 and 49. All these, Adeleke said Ojajuni did not only excelled, but came out with unbreakable record.
The Expert disclosed that Ojajuni who was brutalized by Military men in 2006 when he was the spokesman for Lagos Command, remains the only image maker that has ever served no fewer than four commissioners of police in the state.Similiarly, Adeleke confirmed Ojajuni as the only Squadron Commander that has headed four Squadrons in the country.
“His tour of duties in most sensitive and strategic departments in the force equipped him for today’s challenges. I’m optimistic that the crime-fighting methologies he learnt from great police chiefs such as the late Tafa Balogun, Dr. Mike Okiro, late Solomon Arase, MD Abubakar, DIG Sylvester Abiodun Alabi, will be sufficient to bring to bare the much needed proactive and Community-
friendly policing Ogun state has long desired”
” Those familiar with Ojajuni’s policing career knows he has never compromised his duties, dating back to his time as a junior officer at Alausa Police Station in Lagos. He actually embodies the traits of a proactive, fine cop who despises injustice and incivility towards the public over the years, he has established himself as a truly result-oriented officer”
“Like his predecessors, Arase and Alabi, he is highly disciplined and fearless officer who cannot be coerced” Adeleke said.
