In a curious turn of events last week in Lagos, a chinese lady who fraudulently swindled a Nigerian business man of several millions of naira successfully evaded capture by Nigerian law enforcement officers who surrounded various strategic locations in an attempt to arrest her .
According to a source close to the matter, the suspect whose name was simply given as Ms Karen, supplied substandard electrical products to a Nigerian business man, Joseph Okafor.Through his lawyer, Dr Gerald Abonyi, Okafor wrote a petition against her to the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Oluhundare Jimoh .The police boss was reported to have approved the petition directing his officers to invite her for questioning.
The lady, however, bolted in mysterious circumstances.
