As part of the Ogun State Police Command’s sustained commitment to strengthening community policing, deepening public confidence, and fostering strategic partnerships for effective crime prevention across the State, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, continued his strategic familiarization tour to the Ikenne and Isara Area Commands. The tour featured high-level engagements with traditional rulers, local government authorities, community development leaders, corporate stakeholders, and officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, all aimed at reinforcing collaborative security efforts and enhancing operational effectiveness across the Remo axis.
The Commissioner of Police, accompanied by key members of the Command Management Team and the State Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Comrade Abdullahi Lawal, commenced the tour at the Ikenne Area Command, where he was warmly received by the Area Commander, ACP Sadiq Mana. Also on hand to receive the Commissioner of Police were the Executive Chairman of Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Asimu Jamiu, the President of the Ikenne Development Association, Otunba Olufemi Allen, alongside other distinguished community leaders and stakeholders. During the engagement, CP Ojajuni emphasized the indispensable role of community participation in policing, urging residents to continue supporting the Police with timely and credible intelligence while reaffirming the Command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property.

The Commissioner of Police thereafter paid a strategic visit to Remo Stars Football Club, where he was received by the Club President, Hon. Kunle Soname, OON. CP Ojajuni commended the club’s outstanding contributions to sports development, youth empowerment, and economic growth, noting that meaningful youth engagement remains one of the most effective tools for crime prevention. He further applauded the organization for providing opportunities that positively redirect the energies of young people and contribute significantly to peaceful coexistence within society.
Following the visit to Remo Stars Football Club, the Commissioner of Police proceeded on a royal courtesy visit to the palace of His Royal Highness, Alaiyeluwa Oba Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo (Otete III), the Odemo of Isara. During the visit, CP Ojajuni appreciated the royal father for his steadfast commitment to peace, security, and community development while soliciting his continued support towards intelligence-led policing and proactive community policing initiatives. In his response, the Odemo of Isara reaffirmed the unwavering support of the traditional institution for the Nigeria Police Force and expressed confidence that sustained collaboration with the Ogun State Police Command would further strengthen peace and security within Isara and its neighbouring communities.

In continuation of the tour, the Commissioner of Police, accompanied by Alaiyeluwa Oba Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo (Otete III), the Odemo of Isara; His Royal Highness, Oba Taiwo Taiwo, the Onipara of Ipara; and other stakeholders, proceeded to inspect the permanent site of the proposed Isara Area Command Headquarters. The inspection enabled the Commissioner of Police to assess the progress of the ongoing project while encouraging all stakeholders to sustain their support towards its timely completion. He noted that the permanent facility would significantly enhance operational efficiency and improve policing services within the jurisdiction.
The delegation thereafter witnessed the official presentation of a patrol vehicle donated to the Isara Area Command by the Isara Growth and Prosperity Foundation. CP Ojajuni expressed profound appreciation to the Foundation for the generous intervention, describing the donation as a shining example of community partnership in policing. He noted that the patrol vehicle would significantly enhance operational mobility, improve response capability, and strengthen security across the Area Command.

Thereafter, the Commissioner of Police proceeded to the Isara Area Command, where he was warmly received by the Area Commander, ACP Nurudeen Ali Amodu, alongside the Executive Chairman of Remo North Local Government, Hon. Sodade Ayodele Olumuyiwa, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, and officers and men of the Area Command. During the interactive session, CP Ojajuni stressed that security remains a collective responsibility requiring continuous collaboration between the Police, traditional institutions, government, and the people. He commended the stakeholders for their unwavering support and encouraged them to sustain intelligence sharing and community partnership in order to deny criminal elements any operating space within the area. The Commissioner also charged officers and men of the Area Command to remain disciplined, professional, courteous, and proactive in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.

As part of the visit, CP Ojajuni officially commissioned the temporary office of the Isara Area Command, describing the development as a significant milestone in expanding police presence and bringing quality policing closer to the people. He expressed optimism that the establishment of the Area Command would improve operational coordination, enhance response time, and further strengthen the Command’s capacity to protect lives and property throughout Remo North and adjoining communities.
Bringing the day’s engagements to a fitting conclusion, the Commissioner of Police paid a royal courtesy visit to the palace of His Royal Highness, Oba James Obafemi Saliu, Kankanbiina II, the Ologere of Ogere. CP Ojajuni commended the monarch for his unwavering commitment to peace, stability, and harmonious coexistence within Ogere Kingdom while soliciting the continued support of the traditional institution towards intelligence gathering and community-driven policing initiatives. In his response, the revered monarch applauded the proactive leadership and operational successes of the Ogun State Police Command under CP Ojajuni and assured him of the continued cooperation and support of the people of Ogere in sustaining peace and security.
The Commissioner of Police reiterated that the Ogun State Police Command remains resolute in its determination to deepen community policing, strengthen stakeholder partnerships, and sustain intelligence-led policing strategies capable of effectively addressing contemporary security challenges. He expressed appreciation to traditional institutions, local government authorities, corporate organizations, community associations, and all law-abiding residents whose continued collaboration remains instrumental to the maintenance of peace and security across Ogun State.
