AIG ZONE 5 Inspect Police Recruitment Centre, Motivates Candidates

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 Benin City, *AIG Salman-Dogo Garba, today paid an official visit to the Police Training School, Ogida, Benin City, where candidates seeking enlistment as recruit constables are currently undergoing their examination. The AIG was received by DCP John Paul Echatah, the NPF recruitment team leader from Abuja, Barrister Joel Akoko, the PSC team leader, as well as other members of the recruitment team.

 

According to SP Tijani Momoh the zone spokesman, during the visit, the AIG interacted with the candidates and commended them for their turnout, discipline, and commitment to the recruitment process. He encouraged the applicants to remain focused, conduct themselves with integrity, and shun all forms of examination malpractice, emphasizing that the recruitment exercise is strictly merit-based, transparent, and in line with the standards of the Nigeria Police Force.

 

 

The AIG further assured the candidates that the Force is committed to fairness and equal opportunity for all qualified applicants. He reiterated that only those who meet the required criteria and demonstrate competence will be selected.

 

Addressing the recruitment team, examination officers and instructors, the AIG charged them to continue to maintain professionalism and ensure that the process remains credible, orderly, and free from any form of compromise, and that the applicants are lucky to have such a credible team.

 

 

The AIG noted that the ongoing recruitment exercise is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force by bringing in capable and service-driven individuals.

 

The visit also provided an opportunity for the AIG to assess the conduct of the examination and the general welfare of both candidates and officials on ground.
