Following the arrest of a prime suspect and his two accomplices in connection with penultimate week murder of a former broadcaster with OGTV, Madam Olakitan Oyesiku and her security guard, Pelumi Adetayo, a one-time commissioner of police for Ogun state, retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG, Kenneth Embrimson and a seasoned journalist, Mr Charles Oyawale, has commended the Ogun state police boss, CP Bode Ojajuni and his men for a good job.
The two men who were all full of praises for ojajuni and his detectives described the police chief as a quintessential criminals profiler who swiftly arrested the suspected killers of the broadcaster.
In his commendation, Embrimson disclosed that Ojajuni’s intensive investigation and professional response to the recent murder incident in Ogun State, which led to the prompt arrest of the suspects reflects exemplary leadership, operational efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to justice and public safety. It has undoubtedly sent a strong message to criminal elements and created a deterrent effect against those who may contemplate similar acts.
He said as a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police who once superintended the Ogun State Police Command, he takes pride in this commendable achievement and encourage Ojajuni to sustain the momentum in ensuring the safety and security of the good people of Ogun State.
He enjoined Ojajuni to accept his congratulations and best wishes for continued success in the discharge of his duties.
Oyawale said the arrest of the three suspects show that if men of the Nigeria Police Force are well paid, given the logistics and neccessary tools to operate, they will not only rival police personnel in advanced countries, but beat their counterparts in these countries in the areas of investigations and operations.
“The Ogun police did a good job, excellent investigation.Indeed, a painstaking investigation to unravel the mystery behind the gruesome murder was decisively carried out within a short time. That intensive investigation led to the arrest of the three suspects. I hope the Bode Ojajuni-led police will do a thorough prosecution in the Court and ensure justice is dispensed accordingly”, said Oyawale.
It will be recalled that upon the gruesome murder of the popular ex OGTV broadcaster and her security guard at Abeokuta, on 21st June, 2026, detectives swung into action arresting prime suspect and two accomplices in under five days, a rapid and decisive response that has successfully restored public confidence.
