Dedication, Hardworking: IEDPU Commends AIG Jimoh For Been Good Ambassador of The Emirate

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has commended the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Headquarters, Lagos, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh for being excellent Ambassador of the Emirate in his dedication and hardworking as a senior Police officer.

The commendation was made on the AIG during the courtesy visit paid on him the IEDPU deligation led by its National President, Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration, ACG A. A. AbdulMalik (Rtd.) at the Zonal Police headquarters, Onikan, Lagos.

The visit provided an opportunity for the delegation to appreciate AIG Jimoh, a prominent son of Ilorin, for his distinguished career, professionalism and continued commitment to the service of the nation.

Speaking during the visit, the National President of IEDPU, ACG A. A. AbdulMalik (Rtd.), thanked Almighty Allah for His continued grace and blessings upon the life and career of AIG Jimoh for his contributions to the development and progress of Ilorin and for the leadership role he has played in maintaining relative peace and security across Lagos and Ogun States.

ACG AbdulMalik (Rtd) further described AIG Jimoh as a disciplined, principled and dutiful officer whose professional conduct reflects the values of good character and responsible citizenship, noting that these qualities are consistent with the moral standards associated with Barakat Community Secondary School, Ilorin, Kwara State, one of the schools established by IEDPU where the AIG had his secondary education.

The National President emphasized that the school is committed not only to academic excellence but also to instill good virtues, sound societal values, moral discipline and exemplary character in its students.

Against these backgrounds, he expressed confidence in the AIG Jimoh’s capacity to discharge his professional responsibilities with diligence and integrity, adding that he would always uphold what is right and act in accordance with the rule of law.

Responding, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh expressed appreciation to the National President and members of the IEDPU delegation for the courtesy visit and the goodwill extended to him.

The AIG acknowledged the Union’s longstanding interest in his career and expressed gratitude for its continued support and encouragement, adding that the recognition was not only an honour but also a reminder of the responsibility that comes with public service.

AIG Jimoh reaffirmed his commitment to the professional discharge of his constitutional responsibilities, guided by the rule of law, respect for fundamental human rights and the principles of justice and fairness, assuring that justice would be pursued without fear or favour, irrespective of an individual’s social status, position or class.

“Zone 2 Headquarters remains resolute in the discharge of its constitutional mandate and will continue to work with relevant stakeholders to safeguard lives and property, maintain public order, promote a safe and secure environment for all residents of Lagos and Ogun States.
