The Edo State Police Command has confirmed that there’s a breakthrough in the robbery case involving the Edo State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Hon. Kennedy Odion.
The Police says it has recovered one of the two Toyota Highlander vehicles stolen from his residence off Winners Road, Ihie Community, on September 6, 2026.
According to the police, operatives of the Violent Crime Response Unit, VCRU, recovered the vehicle with registration number LSR 729 HY around the New Benin axis.
This followed days of intelligence gathering and coordinated operations.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Patrick Daaor, who visited the scene, had ordered the VCRU to track down the syndicate and recover all stolen items.
The Command says the operation is not over yet, as efforts are ongoing to recover the second vehicle and arrest those behind the robbery.
CP Daaor is urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police, stressing their commitment to a crime free society.
