Inter-Agency Collaboration :CP Fatai Visits Army, Air Force, Navy In Lagos

 

 

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, paid courtesy visits to the 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, 651 Base Service Group Nigerian Air Force, and Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft in Apapa as part of efforts to strengthen existing relationships and enhance collaborative security operations across the state. He stressed that effective security management in a complex and strategic state like Lagos depends on seamless collaboration among all security and law enforcement agencies.

 

At the 9 Brigade, Lagbaja Cantonment, Ikeja, CP Fatai and Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Ayokunle Owolabi discussed strengthening their longstanding partnership in internal security operations and sustaining joint efforts to ensure the safety of Lagos residents. At the 651 Base Service Group Headquarters, Sam Ethnan Air Force Base, Ikeja, Air Commodore M. A. Imam received the CP and his delegation for talks on solidifying working relations, with focus on internal security, professionalism, intelligence sharing, and operational cooperation.

 

At NNS Beecroft, Apapa, Commander NNS Beecroft, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu and the CP discussed strengthening collaboration in protecting the state’s waterways and the need for structured operational alignment in multi-agency situations. CP Fatai commended the consistent support from Armed Forces formations, noting that such synergy is crucial to combating crime, maintaining law and order, and addressing emerging threats. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining peace, enhancing public safety, and ensuring a secure environment for socio-economic growth.
