The Ogun State Police Command has arrested four police officers for misconduct and unprofessional behavior toward a young man.
The arrest ordered by the Commissioner of Police, Olubode Ojajuni, followed a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) drawing the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu’s attention to the incident, where the officers had reportedly handcuffed an innocent youth Sango Ota.
Confirming the incident, the state police spokesman, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi said the four officers nvolved have been identified, and the Commissioner of Police, Ojajuni, has ordered immediate action in line with established procedures.He disclosed that the Command remains committed to accountability, professional discipline and the highest standards of policing.
Babaseyi said further updates will be communicated as developments warrant.
