Detectives from Ogun state police Command have nabbed a 43-yr-old man for fatally beaten to death a 38-yr-old Guidance and Counselling graduate over hugging his 3-ur-old daughter in Mowe area of the state.
The state police image maker DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed that the suspect, Mr Edebiri Temitope , last month beat the deceased, late Michael Oje (38), with bamboo sticks to death for “rough play” with his 3-yr-old daughter.
The suspect was reported to have taken to his heels seeing that his victim gave up the ghost.
However, the crack team of detectives saddled with the task of apprehending the suspect caught up with him today at a location he was hiding with his family.
Meanwhile, the suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for further investigation.
