Operatives of Ogun State Police Command, have arrested two suspects, Muhammed Monsur ‘M’ and Olaseinde Olatunji ‘M’, and recovered exhibits including a stolen cow valued at One Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Naira (₦1,700,000.00), a knife, and an operational vehicle used in the commission of the crime in a swift response operation following a distress call from a farmer in the Ifo/Ibogun axis of the State.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, 30th April 2026, at about 2:30 a.m., when suspected cattle rustlers reportedly invaded a dairy farm located at Omitoro Village via Coker, Ifo/Ibogun, and rustled a cow.
Upon receiving the distress call, operatives of SWAT acted swiftly and mobilised to the scene for immediate intervention. The suspects, who had attempted to flee the farm in a mini bus popularly known as “Korope,” were intercepted following an alarm raised after their suspicious movements were noticed.
The prompt intervention led to the arrest of the two suspects. The exhibits recovered include one stolen cow, one knife, and the operational mini bus used in perpetrating the crime.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are part of a four-man gang, while two other accomplices escaped into the surrounding bush.

The operational vehicle has been recovered and secured at the Ibogun SWAT office. The stolen cow was also recovered, photographed for evidential purposes, and subsequently released to the owner after receiving necessary attention.
The suspects are currently in custody, while investigation is ongoing. Efforts are being intensified to track down and apprehend the fleeing members of the gang. The case will be transferred to the appropriate investigative unit for further discreet investigation and prosecution.
