Ogun State Police Take Over Temporary Ikenne Area Command, Initiate Permanent Building Construction, Tour Local Security Coordinating Hub

The Ogun State Police Command today, Sunday, 26th April, 2026, received the temporary building for the Ikenne Area Command and also performed the turning of the sod for the construction of a permanent structure for the Area Command. The event further featured a visit to the Ikenne Security Coordinating Centre, marking a significant milestone in strengthening security infrastructure and enhancing policing operations within the Ikenne area command.

 

 

According to the Command spokesman, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+), NPM, was ably represented at the occasion by the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR. The CP commended the initiative as a clear demonstration of community-driven support for effective policing, while emphasizing the importance of sustained collaboration between security agencies, community stakeholders, and development partners in ensuring lasting peace and public safety. He also commended the Ikenne Security Coordinating Centre for its digital innovation and coordinated approach to security management, noting that such technological integration significantly enhances intelligence sharing and rapid response capabilities.

 

 

The Command expresses profound appreciation to the Ikenne Development Association, led by its President, Barrister Olufemi Allen, FCTI, AICMC, LL.B, ACArb, for their unwavering commitment and mobilization towards improving the security architecture of Ikenne and its environs.

 

 

 

The Ogun State Police Command reiterates its dedication to proactive policing, protection of lives and property, and strengthening partnerships for safer communities across the State.
