Three Student bodies, the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Students’ Representative Council (SRC), and National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) Executives, under the leadership of Comrade Opatumobi Boluwatife Joshua (LUSH), paid a courtesy visit to the Elewe-Eran Police Zone to strengthen relations with the Nigeria Police Force and promote a safer environment for students.

During the visit, the executives introduced their respective representatives and discussed ways to improve cooperation between the student bodies and the Police.

The DSP, Babaseyi Oluseyi, welcomed the delegation and emphasized the importance of good relationships, collaboration, and the three Cs of Aluta. He also proposed organizing a Student Security Summit and assured the Union of his availability whenever formally invited.

He expressed concern over the lack of student hostels in many institutions across Ogun State and urged students to reside in safe, secure environments close to their schools.

Furthermore, the Deputy PRO, E.O. Oluborode, encouraged the SUG, SRC, and NAPS to work together with the Police to reach students across institutions and educate them on the dangers of cultism, drug abuse, and other social vices.

The visit ended with a shared commitment to promoting security awareness, peaceful coexistence, and stronger collaboration between student leaders and security agencies.

The SUG, SRC, and NAPS executives appreciate the Elewe-Eran Police Zone for the warm reception and look forward to a productive partnership in protecting students and building a safer academic community.
