Quote:
“Another thing you have to do in the agricultural sector is to add value. You cannot continue to produce food like your great grandfather did unless you want to go home with nothing”
– Dr. Seyi Davids ( Chairman/ CEO of Xtralarge Farms and Resorts Ltd, at the World Labour Day Summit)
When the highly committed, ardent and passionate members of the game-changing Xtralarge Farms and Resorts beam with smiles and respond with: “Hundred Percent,/ Farm Easy,/ Eat Healthy/ Live Healthy/ and Make Money” to the clarion call of ” Xtralarge ” from the global icon of agric revolution,Dr. Mrs. Moji Davids it goes beyond mere fun. Or illusion. It is indeed, one fruitful reality of turning vision into life- transforming and impact- making ventures through modern agricultural policies, programs and projects that have turned Labour to Wealth for hundreds of thousands of Nigerians, Africans with a target of one million modern farmers across the globe. This is not the fiction you get to read through thrilling novels. No!
From a rural, rustic farming by a Nigerian couple spanning eight odd years while producing garri back home somewhere in Ogun state, after spending years somewhere in Europe but brought back home through the divine calling by God, the creator to attaining recognition in 14 countries across the world, including the United Kingdom, Dubai, United States, Europe, Canada and the Bahamas. Promoting and projecting
modern, organic agricultural practices, over the past 18 years this proves to be an inspiring story for each and everyone of us to glean from.
In fact, it has since become a major digital, agro-tourism brand with over 200,000 passionate members, with the plan to increase to one million farmers globally. Considering its trajectory of growth, the turning point was that of pioneering digital farming in 2016, and the platform experienced rapid growth, reaching nearly 100,000 members by 2024 and doubling in size shortly after to over 200,000 in early 2026.
With regards to eating healthy and living healthy, Moji is a living testimony as she was able to overcome the challenge of fatty liver by eating only organic food items as produced right there in the farm. Some of such notable foods include the popular 100% natural, chemical-free organic food items strictly designed for healthy living. Their flagship products, often highlighted for, include the nutritious “Xtralarge Meal” (suitable as a swallow or cereal), ofada rice, palm oil, groundnut oil, fine garri and processed radish.
What more, the ingenious connection between agriculture and tourism, as amply demonstrated through the scenic, alluring and attention – grabbing Agritec City at the Resort Centre at Idi- Iroko, Ogun state that has become a destination of choice for hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the globe is a touching testimony to what the twin goods of passion and persistence can do to succeeding against all human odds
Interestingly, all of these and more came to the public sphere at the 2026 Agriwealth Revolution Summit held at Stella Hall, Oregun in Lagos state on May 1, hosted of course, by none other than Xtralarge Farms and Resorts Ltd.
The focus of the Summit is how Nigerians, nay Africans and others interested in farming can leverage on the value chain of agriculture. From food production through processing, preservation, packaging to marketing and export, people can key into it and make a livelihood. This, she aptly demonstrated by bringing to the podium of the jam- packed hall, a lady who wants to savour Amala meal with vegetable soup. Those invited to join her are the producers of yam flour for the Amala, those who are into vegetable farming as well as producer of palm oil. The food marketers were not left out. At the end of it all everyone stands to benefit from the value chain, by adding value thereby making reasonable money; or call it “cool cash” from their labour. That makes some economic sense, does it not? Of course, it does.
According to
Dr. Seyi Davids, the event was designed to redefine and restrategize the concept and essence of Labour Day beyond celebration to economic empowerment. Said he:
“For too long, many Nigerians have remained trapped in cycles of hard work without corresponding wealth. Our mission is to help people move beyond salaries into systems that generate sustainable prosperity,”
From his wealth of experience, he views agriculture as a strategic sector with the capacity to build enduring wealth. He highlighted the fact that control of food systems translates to economic power. “Agriculture remains one of the strongest pathways for building transgenerational wealth because food will always be business,” he stated, and point blank too.
Worthy of note, was the issue raised by Dr. Mrs. Moji Davids, that the aim of the summit is to address and bridge a critical gap between labour and wealth creation in Nigeria. In her words:
“Many Nigerians work tirelessly for decades yet remain financially vulnerable. Salary alone does not create wealth. Labour must lead to ownership, assets and sustainable systems,”
Good enough, the event featured a panel session with successful agribusiness practitioners, including Gov. Nkechi Ogbullogo,Engr. Damilola Osho, Farmer Iwalewa Dada and Amb.Paul Enakileru as moderated by Amb. Princess Morakinyo. With their true-life experiences as presented the theme: ‘ Beyond Farming: Building Sustainable Wealth Through Agribusiness: Myth or Measurable Reality?’ offered participants practical insights into wealth creation through agriculture.
Furthermore , members of the Xtralarge Farms Family can access and key into lucrative investment opportunities, business support systems and networking platforms. All of these are well designed to accelerate entry into agriculture-driven enterprises.
Worthy of note as one of the outstanding reasons why Xtralarge Farms and Resorts has continued to grow exponentialy is that of Integrity. Yes, you read me right! Members keep highlighting the fact that investors have always got value for their inputs as at when due. That is one lasting lesson for us all to learn from. As Chinua Achebe rightly noted: “One of the truest tests of integrity is its blunt refusal to be compromised”
