CP Ogun State Advocates Professionalism, Continuous Training For Police Sharp Shooters, Receives Association Members

A foremost sharp shooter in Nigeria Police Force, the Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, received members of the Nigeria Police Shooting Association (NPSA) on a courtesy visit at the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The delegation, led by the Vice Chairman of the Association, SP Theresa Ogboi, alongside the Staff Officer Senior, Ogun State Command, SP Anderson Rabiat, visited the Commissioner of Police to congratulate him on his posting to Ogun State and reaffirm the Association’s support for his leadership.

 

 

Speaking during the visit, SP Theresa Ogboi described CP Bode Ojajuni as a passionate advocate of shooting sports and recalled his immense contributions to the Association during his service in the Lagos State Command, where he served at various times as Second Vice Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Chairman of the Association. She noted that his leadership and commitment significantly contributed to the advancement of shooting sports within the Nigeria Police Force.

The delegation further commended the Commissioner of Police for his professionalism, dedication to service, and sustained support for initiatives geared towards personnel development and operational excellence within the Force.

 

 

 

In his remarks, CP Bode Ojajuni appreciated the delegation for the visit and commended the Association for its commitment to discipline, professionalism, and capacity development. He emphasized that shooting sports remain an important tool in enhancing concentration, mental alertness, discipline, precision, and accuracy among officers, qualities essential to effective policing and tactical efficiency.

The Commissioner encouraged officers to imbibe the culture of continuous training and active participation in shooting sports, noting that regular practice would further strengthen professionalism, confidence, and operational competence within the Force.

 

 

 

 

Also speaking during the engagement, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, DCP Bolanle Muritala; the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Administration, DCP Ibrahim Abdul; and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), DCP Gbenga Adeoye, all commended the Association for its contributions to capacity building and professionalism within the Force. They equally emphasized the importance of continuous training, discipline, and skill development in enhancing operational effectiveness and overall policing standards.

CP Ojajuni further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote capacity building, professionalism, and institutional development within the Nigeria Police Force.

The visit concluded with an interactive session and group photographs.
