Disturbed with the current insecurity and hard economy biting Nigerians for sometime, the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Lagos Chapter has organized a spiritual prayer for Allah to intervene and quench the menace nationwide.
The prayer, which is expected to hold on Sunday 19th, July 2026 at the mosque premises of Sheikh Muhammad Robiu Atanda Abdulmalik, popularly known as ‘Baba Loworo’ will be witness by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 2, Moshood Oloundare Jimoh and many dignitaries from all parts the country.
Speaking on the forthcoming event, the IEDPU Chairman, Western Zone, Dr Solih Imoloba Owonikoko hinted that already, prayers have been on for sometimes and final one will be done at ‘Baba Loworo’ mosque premises, being a notable spiritual leader between 2pm and 4pm on the day.
Also in his contribution, the IEDPU Secretary, Western Zone, Alh. Sakariyau Idaoba revealed that the Mudiru Morcas, Agege, Sheikh Abibullahi Adam and several spiritual leaders are going to be Special Guest of Honor at the occasion.
The Chairman of IEDPU, Lagos Chapter, Alhaji AbdulRaheem Adeshina Ibrahim gave the discription of the venue as Lutfullah International Prayer Group mosque, 17, Alabi Owoyemi Street, Oworonshoki (Olopomeji Busstop).
He implored members of the public who wants to attend the 2hrs prayer to be there in as the event will start by 2pm and end by 4pm for Asr prayer.
“We believe that it’s only prayer for Allah Divine intervention that can assist our country combat the faceless bandits and direct our on how to handle the hard economy that has demoralized Nigerians”, he remarked.
