Niger State Government Arrests Four Chinese Nationals for Illegal Mining

The Niger State Government has arrested four Chinese nationals who are suspected of entering the state and commencing mining activities without obtaining government approval.

The individuals were arrested on Wednesday in Lapai Local Government Area while carrying out mining activities without the required permits.

The state government said it would take appropriate measures to ensure compliance with the laws governing mining activities in the state.
